Ramp194 was constructed at 194 NE Wavecrest Way in Boca Raton, FL in November-December 2002 with help from several confidants. Muchisimos gracias.
Moved in early Feburary 2003 due to “redevelopment potential” of the property (e.g. eviction).
Back in action by mid-Feburuary … for 3 sessions.
City of Boca Raton Code Enforcement shows up and shuts down the ramp Feb. 27, 2003. Apparently, a disgruntled neighbor complained to the City about “some serious skateboarding.”
According to City officials, the ramp is considered a “structure” and requires a building permit.
Initial application for building permit submitted March 3, 2003. Application not accepted. Renters cannot pull a permit for anything in the City of Boca.
Letter sent to landloard on March 6, 2003 explaining the situation … and pleading for help.
Landlord signs and notorizes building permit application on March 17, 2003. However, the City won’t accept the application without proof of insurance. After some mild persuasion, the landlord also provides a certificate of homeowners insurance … unreal. Muchisimos gracias.
